Facebook’s Lotto Frenzy

There is a new wave of marketing on facebook today!! The lotto fever has taken over and has become highly contagious. There are users posting pictures of lottery tickets they have purchased and are making promises to share their winnings with one or more of those who…..

I must admit that it is a bit of an ingenious way to increase your exposure. There are users who are asking you to like orĀ  subscribe to their page in order to qualify for a portion of their possible winnings. There is one whom will remain unnamed that has created a link from their website containing a photo of their ticket and the requirements that are to be fulfilled before your considered in the running. I have repeatedly seen this link popping up as shared and liked on my facebook wall….the catch is in his requirement which really was for them to like his page. Such a shame!! Meanwhile the word spread like wildfire which just so happened to be the intention. A winning streak has occurred today regardless of how the lotto drawing this evening turns out….

Wishing you luck

Did you get a lottery ticket?

The mega million lottery game once again escaped a winning claim on the then 363 million dollar jackpot. Can you believe it $363,000,000.00. As you can imagine the ticket sales have exploded and the jackpot now stands at 500 million…..it’s only half of a billion dollars.

Were you one of the many millions who took a chance and risked the odds that would pay out $500,000,000.00?

Perspective

When life gives you lemons…..find some sugar and make some lemonade! Then go to all your friends show them how you did it and convince them to as well. Then hit the streets to sell it and before you know you will have an empire…….

I find that there are more and more people falling victim to their pasts or life’s circumstances lately than I can bear. I also have plenty of my own stories I could chew on until I choked…but I would prefer not to. Instead I would rather believe in simplifing the solutions to the challenges we all face… the measure of why you don’t have what your after should be catergorized by the time is not now, not ever, or your just doing it the wrong way…

Life is not suppose to be miserable! Hard at times..yes but not miserable! Should you ever feel it is then you may want to consider making some changes. Invest in finding what will make you happy. This will also help to smooth over the rough spots you come across.

The main difference I have found in people who are content in life and those who are not all stems from their perspective…….

Makes you go hmmm

Why do we park in driveways and drive on parkway?

Why do we call heavy drive times rush hour?

Why do kids fight taking naps and adults long for one?

Do you remember time passing so slow as a kid and as an adult find yourself asking where it went?

Bouncing in the lanes

What makes drivers want to bounce from lane to lane when traffic is backed up? In reality your making the slow down take longer because your causing the driver you just jumped in front of hit their brakes yet again.

Just saying,

I got robbed…still can’t believe it

If something as horrifying as this has ever happened to you then you can truly understand what I have been through.

It was just another ordinary day as I pulled into the neighborhood gas station. I slid my card into the pump and pulled out the handle and started to pump my gas. Feeling a bit worn for wear I turned and leaned back against the car. I swear I really thought a was keeping a sharp eye out! I had noticedĀ  others standing by the tanks of their cars. I had even caught that there were a couple of faces that I couldn’t recognize who were making their way into the store. I jolted suddenly when I heard the handle pop as it released the lever. I had turned towards the car to grab it to replace it in it’s slot when the gust of wind blowing through abruptly stopped. The hairs on my arms began to stand as they were going to do the wave. I shook it off remembering that static causes such a thing. As I went to turn out of the corner of my eye I caught sight of bright orange and was brought to a complete stop. I felt my blood drain and found my hand barely able to hold the handle I felt only seconds before. I felt a slight tremor go throughout my body. My eyes began to sting as they would before producing tears. I gulped back all I could and decided to face my fears. I lifted my chin and with the meanest look I could muster I set my eyes on my enemy. The sight before me was crippling and there was no escape. My breath caught as my mind was sketching an image of the predator that was called…

my TOTAL…..

Please forgive me but I have to share just how horrible and degraded something like this can make someone feel….

What’s even worse is I have this haunting feeling that it is destined to happen again.

A very saddened

Savoury

Have you heard this before..

I came across a saying that is so true and funny I just had to share.

When life closes a window it will open a door but the dark hallways are a beach…..

I hope you giggled like I did!

Sincerely

Which side of the fine line do you stand on?

Sometimes it can be hard to see the fine line that is present between constructive criticism and a critic’s opinion. Recently I began building allspiceandadvice.com. Luckily I have full support from those around me in my newest venture and yet the picking in fun has already begun…there was a comment left for me a couple days after going live by the mastermind behind thinkingoutloudlounge.com that said: You know, it drives me nuts when I see blogs that don’t even have posts aside from the default one. When are you going to post some content???

As you can imagine I couldn’t help but laugh and vow to return the favor.
There’s nothing wrong with receiving a gentle nudge when it’s purpose is to help you achieve what your after.

On the other hand I have also seen when it goes horribly wrong. Recently I saw an episode of Top Model where one of the girls had presented a bit of attitude and well a basic disregard for authority. At the end of the show they are judged on the assignment given, on who they are, and how they carry themselves. Upon standing in front of the judges her behaviors were addressed first with the intentions of preventing a possible lag in her career. She stood at the end of the catwalk as they issued their reviews. Until she just started to unravel from having felt personally attacked. Followed by a child’s grade temper tantrum for all the world to see. In short she removed herself from the competition. The greatest shame was she had actually done well on the task that was assigned and would have been able to continue on.

I know how hard it can be to have another person judge you or your intentions!

The thing to keep in mind is that an outside view (even one you don’t care for) can make you see the same thing in a different light and create a better outcome. So when you feel someone is picking you apart ask yourself which side of the fine line are you viewing the information from?

Starting Something New

Are you one of those people who like to discuss anything and everything when you get a chance? I have found with the help of those who are closest to me that I am…

Even though I have a wonderful group around me who are intelligent and forthcoming in their opinions I thought it would be fun to find out others point of view as well. So I ask for you to please join me (using gentle language) and offer your thoughts and opinions!

Sincerely,

Savoury

Please excuse the mess….

I am in the process of updating the site! Feel free to explore but bear in mind this project is in the works…
